Last week, at the ExplorIA event organised by the Impact AI collective, Le Laboratoire de l’Egalité, in partnership with Renault and Engie, exclusively presented its “Pact for Equal Artificial Intelligence”. During the online conference, hundreds of participants discovered the human, technical and ethical solutions contained in the Pact, with comments and testimonials from experts from all sectors (business, start-ups, science, training, higher education).
After the publication of the book “Artificial intelligence, not without them! “by Flora Vincent and Aude Bernheim in its collection Egale à Egal in 2019, the Laboratoire de l’Egalité created with the two authors a working group of experts, companies (in particular Renault and Engie) and associations to extend the reflection/action.
This work is leading to a “Pact for Equal Artificial Intelligence” which sets out concrete human and technical solutions and the ambition to raise awareness and mobilise AI stakeholders on crucial issues such as ethics, coherence and responsible performance of our societies.
The Pact for Equal Artificial Intelligence is aimed at policy makers, public and private sector leaders, research and training organisations, digital and AI-using companies, teachers, AI consultants, associations, and the media.
During this online conference at ExplorIA, more than 100 participants discovered the solutions contained in the Pact. Among them: Annie Batlle and Muriel Garnier, drivers of the AI working group at the Equality Laboratory, Flora Vincent, PhD in science, Raphael Richard, President of Neodia, Colette Guillopé, mathematician, Frederic Bardeau, President of Simplon, Jerôme Perrin, Scientific Director at Renault and Manuela Echilley, in charge of diversity and inclusion at Renault.
Highlight of the conference: a speech by Cédric O, Secretary of State in charge of Digital, who expressed his vision of an ethical, inclusive, egalitarian artificial intelligence and called for the mobilization of all actors to deploy this Pact.
