Sorbonne University, Laval University and the International Observatory on the societal impacts of AI and digital technologies (Obvia) are organizing on Tuesday 13 and Wednesday 14 October an interdisciplinary virtual conference on the developments, uses and social issues of AI.
During two afternoons, researchers from Université Laval and Sorbonne University will speak on 6 themes, from robotics to ethics, health, work, scientific integrity and social networks.
The opening lecture on Tuesday, October 13 given by Jean-Gabriel Ganascia, President of the Ethics Committee of the CNRS, for Sorbonne University, and the closing lecture on Wednesday, October 14 presented by Jocelyn Maclure, President of the Commission de l’éthique en science et en technologie du Québec, for Laval University, will provide a Franco-Quebecer perspective on these reflections.
This conference is the first strong act of the strategic partnership between Sorbonne University and Université Laval, which focuses on the societal commitment of our institutions. Sophie D’Amours, rector of Laval University and Jean Chambaz will intervene at the opening to recall the stakes of this collaboration.
This activity is open to the public upon registration.
