reciTAL, an IA start-up specializing in Document Intelligence solutions, has raised €3.5 million in initial funding from the Breega investment fund. This financing will enable reciTAL to accelerate its development to become the reference platform for the search, extraction and automation of document databases and flows.
Gilles Moyse and Frédéric Allary founded the company in 2017 with one conviction: the very recent advances in automatic language processing (TAL / NLP) applied to unstructured documents (documents, emails, contracts…) will have as much impact on companies as ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and CRM (Customer Relationship Management) have had on their structured data.
reciTAL’s Document Intelligence solutions enable companies to transform their unstructured data into a competitive advantage by making customer relations more fluid, increasing team productivity and making risk management more reliable… And there are many use cases: information retrieval, contract analysis, email flow processing, risk assessment, due diligence processes…

R&D is one of reciTAL’s strengths with a team of 6 PhDs and a scientific committee that includes Stuart Russell, Professor of AI at UC Berkeley and Antoine Bordes, Director of Facebook AI Research in Europe. The team publishes in the best international conferences and contributes to the development of the state of the art in the field.
