Preligens, a company specializing in artificial intelligence-based geospatial data analysis solutions for the defense and intelligence industries, announces the appointment of Pascal Lecuyot as VP Software and member of the company’s executive committee. He joins Arnaud Guérin and Renaud Allioux’s company with the objective of bringing his expertise and years of experience in research and development to the Navya firm.
The arrival of Pascal Lecuyot to strengthen Preligens’ technical teams
With 10 years of experience in technical team management, Pascal Lecuyot joined Preligens on 30 August as head of the software teams. In this newly created position, he reports directly to Renaud Allioux, co-founder and CTO of Preligens, whom he supports in the deployment of the company’s technological strategy and its scaling up. Pascal Lecuyot comments on his arrival at Preligens:
“The tech team is the backbone of the development of artificial intelligence solutions within Preligens. The boldness and determination that the co-founders, Arnaud Guérin and Renaud Allioux, have instilled in the teams made me want to join this fast-growing company and bring my experience to this exciting phase.”
A graduate of the Léonard de Vinci engineering school in the Paris suburbs, Pascal Lecuyot began his career as a software engineer at Peugeot and at 3i Plus. He then became a research and development engineer for Induct Technology and in 2014 he joined Navya, a company specialising in autonomous vehicles, where he gradually climbed the ranks: first as a manager, then as director of R&D projects, then as chief technology officer, and finally as vice-president of engineering for the brand.
Fifteen years of experience that will work in Preligens’ favour
Pascal Lecuyot’s experience in leading tech teams at Navya, from the hypergrowth phase to the IPO, makes him a key profile for Preligens. This appointment is part of the dynamic led by Renaud Allioux to structure Preligens’ technical team, which now has around 100 people. With his experience and knowledge of the development of a disruptive product based on artificial intelligence technologies, Pascal has the know-how the company needs to support its development. For Renaud Allioux, CTO of Preligens:
“Alongside the data scientists who develop the artificial intelligence algorithms, Preligens is first and foremost a software publisher. We needed a profile like Pascal to head up the Software department and thus give this essential dimension of our business the place and resources it deserves. His experience and his technical and managerial qualities have a lot to offer us in our development phase. Software in the world of Defense and Intelligence involves many more technical challenges for a publisher than any other sector and it is to best respond to them that the team is being strengthened today.”
