In this new episode of Synapse AI, Mathieu Barreau interviews Isabelle Galy, coordinator of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) collective of the Village francophone.
The French-speaking Village is an initiative designed to create delegations and federate actors on the sidelines of major national and international events. Its IA collective was launched on 16/06 during the VivaTech trade show from its Parisian studio set up for the occasion within the Sorbonne Center of Artificial Intelligence.
On this occasion, Isabelle Galy explained:
“We need to federate because the stakes are immense: auditability and certification will become a prerequisite due to the draft European regulation on AI, making AIs less data-intensive due to the environmental impact and finally developing distributed AI technologies will be more and more sought after to avoid latency effects”
This first event had also been the occasion of a pitch competition session “the 15 best AI solutions” whose result we announced in a previous article.
