The Côte d’Azur and Rouen Universities in partnership with the Department of Teaching and Research in General Medicine (DERMG) have announced that they have chosen the companies Loamics and MyDataModels for the processing and analysis of medical data. This decision was made within the framework of the PRIMEGE project (Plateforme Régionale d’Information en MEdecine GEnérale) which aims to collect anonymized data directly from the physician’s effortless consultation software in order to feed a database for research and evaluation of general medicine practices.
A relevant global analysis of medical data is all the more difficult as the different software used do not communicate with each other but also partially with the public health service. The non-interoperability of systems, the heterogeneity, the personal nature, the volume, the security and the governance of medical data are all major challenges to be met in order to obtain quality data, which is an essential prerequisite for reliable analyses. To achieve this, the Universities of Côte d’Azur and Rouen and the DRMG are using the solution offered by Loamics and MyDataModels.
LOAMICS, a subsidiary of ENERGISME
Since March 2021, Energisme has made available through its subsidiary Loamics, the software infrastructure it had developed for its N’gage solution. Loamics, a software publisher, has developed a software suite in PaaS mode, to meet the data challenges. A solution for automating and industrializing the preparation and processing of data continuously and in real time, this infrastructure connects to any data source and processes any transmission protocol to make the data reliable and consistent. The processes used by Loamics’ DataCollect are optimized to feed machine learning models and allow for the creation of very large datasets that are not affected by transformation biases.
Once the intelligence of the data is revealed, it is ready to be submitted to MyDataModels’ Artificial Intelligence and Data predictive modeling platform. The latter has chosen genetic algorithms. Their controlled complexity combined with often reduced data sets results in a platform that generates a model in a few minutes.
This project is currently being deployed on a private cloud, certified HDS (Health Data Hosting), which meets all the security requirements. David Darmon, Physician, Director of the Department of Teaching and Research in General Medicine and Professor at the University of Côte d’Azur states:
“Today, in France, we do not exploit the potential of medical data. We started by launching a pilot with Loamics, which proved to be very successful and whose results led us to entrust the project to Loamics and MyDataModels. Our ambition is simple: to make the most of the data at our disposal to improve diagnosis, accelerate research, and ensure personalized follow-up of patients, while ensuring maximum security for this data, which we know is sensitive.
Stéphane Bollon, CEO of Loamics, states for his part:
“Loamics, is a solution that cuts across all business sectors. In the health sector, one of its differentiating advantages lies in our ability to manage metadata, which allows us to anonymize data very easily and to avoid security issues. We offer a unique solution on the market and we are confident in our ability to move forward with the companies that have tested our solution and are unanimous on the value provided.”
