The theme of the HPE Discover 2022 events is edge-to-cloud, it addresses AI, hybrid cloud, data analytics and security. At HPE Discover, which took place in Frankfurt on Dec. 7-8, the company unveiled new application, analytics and development services for HPE GreenLake, its edge-to-cloud platform, and the new partnerships that made them possible.
Today, HPE GreenLake supports more than 65,000 customers, powers more than two million connected devices and manages more than an exabyte of data with customers around the world. The platform enables HPE customers to automate, orchestrate and execute their hybrid cloud strategy with quick and easy access to more than 70 cloud services.
New solutions for enterprises
On April 27, the company introduced HPE Swarm Learning, a decentralized ML framework developed by Hewlett Packard Labs, the R&D division of HPE. Inspired by biology, blockchain-based Swarm Learning enables enterprises to harness the power of distributed data while protecting the privacy and security of the underlying data.
During this year, HPE also announced various innovations for HPE Greenlake, including in June, the HPE GreenLake for Private Cloud Enterprise, an automated, flexible, and scalable pay-per-use private cloud for traditional and cloud-native application loads.
It offers expanded container deployment options for Kubernetes with Amazon EKS Anywhere. Customers can now run the same container runtimes on-premises that they use in the public cloud and get workload portability with a consistent native cloud experience in their hybrid cloud.
To optimize performance on a variety of mission-critical workloads, the solution now offers six instances optimized for general purpose workloads, compute, memory and storage. It is currently available in 52 countries through the HPE GreenLake for Partners program.
Vishal Lall, senior vice president and general manager, HPE GreenLake Cloud Services Solutions, said:
“HPE GreenLake for Private Cloud Enterprise is an out-of-the-box private cloud with a fully modern experience, offering optimized performance, open choice, and low, predictable total cost of ownership that resonates with organizations across all industries. Customers are recognizing the importance of a hybrid cloud operating model for their digital transformation, and HPE GreenLake for Private Cloud Enterprise is the only solution that brings the best hybrid cloud capabilities from the edge to the core and across multiple clouds, delivered as a cloud service.”
Expanding HPE GreenLake partnerships
HPE continues to expand its offerings on HPE GreenLake Marketplace for DevOps, AI/ML, analytics, data protection, security… In Frankfurt, it introduced the new HPE GreenLake for Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform and the recently announced HPE GreenLake for VMware.
- HPE GreenLake for Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform is the result of the partnership announced on June 27 to provide new service offerings on HPE GreenLake with Red Hat open source solutions;
- HPE GreenLake for VMware will bring together HPE GreenLake and VMware Cloud to provide a fully integrated solution with a simple pay-per-use hybrid cloud consumption model. VMware Cloud will be fully integrated into the entire HPE GreenLake portfolio, including HPE GreenLake for Private Cloud Enterprise.
Early access program for HPE GreenLake for Data Fabric and HPE Ezmeral Unified Analytics
HPE also introduced an early access program for HPE GreenLake for Data Fabric and HPE Ezmeral Unified Analytics there that will allow developers to try the Data Fabric and Analytics service before it is released, testing new features and capabilities to solve hybrid data and analytics problems.
HPE GreenLake for Data Fabric modernizes analytics and data management, unifying different types of data on-premises, multi-cloud and at the edge to provide seamless access to a trusted data source. HPE Ezmeral Unified Analytics provides a cloud solution that supports best-of-breed open source tools to address the full lifecycle of engineering, analytics and data science projects.
