As part of the objectives set for carbon neutrality in 2050 and its economic recovery plan “France Relance”, France has announced the investment of 4 billion euros in the energy renovation of public buildings, part of which will be dedicated to educational establishments. The tRees programme (energy tRansition of educational establishments) was launched by nam.R, a start-up specialising in the production of artificial intelligence data, in partnership with ADEME, CEREMA, the École polytechnique and the Collège de France, including Comité 21, in order to initiate a mass energy renovation programme for these establishments.
It is presented as a real lever of action in favour of the energy transition and the platform has entered the test phase in the Hauts-de-France region from the start of the 2020 school year. It uses complex machine learning models (including computer vision) to recognize millions of actionable, filterable and organizable attributes.
More concretely, tRees proposes to enlighten the public decision regarding school buildings (schools, middle schools, high schools) to renovate energetically as a priority, by opening to all, without any access conditions and in a totally free way, data to accelerate decision making, precise targeting and the elaboration of energy renovation projects at the building level.
This programme is aimed at school principals, local authorities, but also the construction sector and all those involved in the energy renovation of educational establishments to optimise their approaches and speed up the renovation process while reducing costs and boosting the local economy.
On the occasion of the test of the platform in the Hauts-de-France, nam.R has joined forces with Comité 21 by organising a webinar on 20 October at 9.30 am for local authorities, their elected representatives and the departments concerned. This meeting will be an opportunity for all the actors concerned by the energy transition to discover and appropriate the platform tRees, with the intervention of Bettina Laville, president of Comité 21, and Louis Petros, head of Strategic Projects & Public Affairs at nam.R.
