Data, artificial intelligence, blockchain to transform agriculture and the agri-food industry

This accelerator program initiated by SAP.iO Foundry Paris will focus on 3 major issues:

  • Digital Farming & Data-Driven Agriculture: how to integrate data, artificial intelligence, analytics, decision support platform in Agribusiness?
  • Next-gen Agricultural Origination Processes: how to combine compliance and traceability throughout the production and transformation process?
  • Sustainable AgriBusiness Supply Chains: how to make agriculture more responsible and environmentally friendly throughout the value chain?

Sébastien Gibier, director of the SAP.iO accelerator talks about this new program and its objectives:

“The food industry is a major business sector for France. At the European level, it ranks second behind Germany, and today there are many large French groups with international scope. Innovation is a key factor in the sector’s competitiveness, and it is also a means of reducing global food inequalities and problems.

It is in this context that we decided to support start-ups in the Agtech field. It is with great enthusiasm that we are launching our first SAP start-up acceleration program entirely dedicated to agriculture and agribusiness. This new international program aims to bring various improvements to the agribusiness sector: greater efficiency, transparency and security.

With this in mind, we have selected these eight French and foreign start-ups whose mission is to create innovative solutions that complement those of SAP and together bring more value to our customers.
