Docaposte, the digital subsidiary of La Poste Group, aims to become the French benchmark for digital trust solutions. To this end, it announced in early March the creation of a data and AI center that brings together the expertise of its teams and those of two other La Poste Group structures: Probayes and Openvalue. In total, 400 experts in AI and data processing will work under the direction of Guillaume Leboucher, founder and CEO of Openvalue, in this center, one of the five main players in the sector in France.
Openvalue
Founded in 2014, Openvalue employs 120 consultants specialized in data and artificial intelligence (Machine Learning, Deep Learning, NLP, Computer Vision). Since 2019, the company has diversified its offer with the creation of a Studio division dedicated to UX Design, application development and data visualization. In 2021, Openvalue joined the La Poste Group and since January 2022 has been part of Docaposte’s data & AI division, which is coordinated by Guillaume Leboucher, its founder and CEO.
Probayes
Acquired by La Poste Group in 2016, Probayes has been developing customized artificial intelligence solutions in collaboration with customer business teams since 2003. A team of data scientists is dedicated to each expertise, machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, automatic language processing, operational research and combinatorial optimization.
Acquired in 2019 by Docapost, Softeam has more than 200 data and AI experts specializing in data governance, business intelligence(data analytics), big data, robotic process automation(RPA) and performance management. The acquisition has enabled Docapost to strengthen its presence in the data and AI industries.
Docapost, a major player in data and AI
Docaposte is consolidating its expertise in data and AI for its BtoB (enterprises and public sector organizations) and BtoBtoC clients by creating this division, which combines the know-how of its teams with that of Openvalue and Probayes. Docapost intends to pool the experience of its 400 experts for complex, multi-industry projects involving machine learning, deep learning, natural language recognition, and computer vision processes.
La Poste now has one of the most comprehensive offerings on the market for the entire value chain of data and AI projects: design and architecture of the overall solution, transformation of data to adapt it to AI algorithms, and creation of user interfaces.
This data and AI division is coordinated by Guillaume Leboucher, who has been appointed to the
executive committee of Docapost. This appointment positions data and AI at the heart of
Docapost’s transformation and its digital trust service offering in a sovereign, ethical and responsible manner.
Olivier Vallet, CEO of Docaposte, notes:
“The creation of the data & artificial intelligence division and the appointment of Guillaume Leboucher to Docaposte’s executive committee are in line with our strategy to consolidate our position as the French benchmark for digital trust solutions. With this expertise in ethical and responsible AI, we will be able to offer our customers innovative and sovereign solutions that are consistent with La Poste’s values.
Guillaume Leboucher adds:
“The combination of our teams’ know-how creates one of the major players in data and AI in France. The complementary values and synergy of the expertise of the Docaposte, Probayes and Openvalue teams will be put to work to ensure the success of our customers’ AI projects.”
