The Grand Est Region is seeking to implement an innovative policy to strengthen the attractiveness of its territory. It has thus signed an agreement with four Quebec companies in the field of cybersecurity.
The Grand Est Region, anxious to reinforce the attractiveness of its territory, intends to help local companies to increase their competitiveness. Thus, in the era of the all-connected and at the time of the digital transformation, it is more than necessary to accompany our local economic actors in the security of their data.
On June 30, Jean Rottner, President of the Grand Est Region, signed a letter of intent with four leading Quebec cybersecurity companies (MANTLE TECHNOLOGY, EDILEX, PM SCADA and DRAKKAR) that is in line with the ambitions of the regional digital plan.
For Jean Rottner, “The Greater East Region has implemented a strong and ambitious policy in order to be a reference territory in terms of innovation and to build the economy of tomorrow. We want to become an undisputed European leader in the industry of the future in a context of profound digital change. The European Valley of Artificial Intelligence brings a real visibility of the European ambition in terms of innovation and willingness to build the future. Cybersecurity is a major and priority element, and the Region intends to support local companies in the fight against vulnerabilities”.
MANTLE TECHNOLOGY specialises in blockbusters, EDILEX offers legaltech solutions for public institutions and legal professions, PM SCADA offers cyber defence solutions, and DRAKKAR is a medium-sized company with strong growth and diversified activities in various fields related to digital transformation.
The Region wishes to create and organise a cluster of companies around cybersecurity, the trusted web and digital transformation. The objective is to create a consortium in cybersecurity and particularly in defence, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, blockchain, virtualization, e-learning, web and mobile applications… and also aims to create direct alliances with companies in the area.
To this end, the Region, local players and these four companies will combine their efforts and take the appropriate steps to prepare a formal agreement, to be signed in the autumn, reflecting the steps to be taken and implemented. This partnership is aimed at the emergence of a cyber security cluster in the Greater East, bringing together an ecosystem of regional and Canadian businesses.
These first four Quebec companies are eager to develop a coordinated presence and bring their expertise and solutions that are not available today in the Greater East.
