Bloom, an artificial intelligence (AI) platform dedicated to qualitative, predictive and strategic analysis of social networks, announced in October that it had raised €11 million in funding. This round of financing, which was carried out with its historical shareholders as well as Dassault Systèmes, and supported by €2.5 million in funding from the BPI, will enable the company to continue its social inference activities. It is also the starting point of a strategic partnership with Dassault Systèmes.
Double announcement for Bloom with this fundraising of 11 million euros and its partnership with Dassault Systèmes. The company founded by Bruno Breton thus confirms that it is attracting a lot of interest for its approach based on modelling the dynamics of influences, to understand and anticipate new trends and thus participate in the world’s major technological and sociological challenges. Bloom now intends to complete its technological platform, scale up and expand its market internationally.
Bruno Breton, founder and CEO of Bloom, is pleased with the positive momentum of these various announcements:
“For us, this fundraising and alliance with Dassault Systèmes is a major opportunity. Public exchanges between communities contain data and opinions of incredible richness and quality, which are only partially exploited to date.
We have entered an era dominated by consumer, patient, and citizen influences. The deep analysis of these influences reveals weak signals, trends that must be captured and processed. The qualified data will then be enhanced by Dassault Systèmes’ collaborative modeling technologies according to the customer and its sector. Bloom is entering a new phase of dissemination of its technology and expertise”.
The partnership between Bloom and Dassault Systèmes is expected to provide companies with new insights from the daily lives and imaginations of citizens, patients and consumers in the age of experience, and bring them into the new Strategic Social Insight market. For Dassault Systèmes, this is also an opportunity to strengthen the ecosystem of its 3DEXPERIENCE platform, to offer its customers combined offerings and to enrich its “Industry Solution Experiences” portfolio on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. Bloom plans to move to the 3DS OUTSCALE hyperconfidence cloud to provide its customers with strategic autonomy in social data analysis.
Bernard Charlès, vice chairman and CEO of Dassault Systèmes, in turn, welcomes such a partnership:
“We are very pleased to enter into such an alliance with Bloom. In the experience economy, Bloom has unique technologies that position it as a pioneer in social inference. Dassault Systèmes aims to catalyze an ecosystem of excellent players with the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. This alliance is part of the “From Things to Life” ambition we announced on February 6, 2020. Bloom and Dassault Systèmes thus bring a fresh perspective to industries that imagine sustainable innovations at the service of citizens, patients and consumers.”
