Berger-Levrault, a French Tech company specialized in software publishing, and Inria, have entered into a strategic partnership. The two institutions have signed a framework collaboration agreement with a view to accelerating the development of innovative solutions based on the enhanced use of AI. Inria and Berger-Levrault have been working closely together for nearly four years.
A strategic partnership between Berger-Levrault and Inria
The partnership signed on 31 May by Bruno Sportisse, CEO of Inria, and Pierre-Marie Le Hucher, CEO of Berger-Levrault, aims to develop operational platforms to make the most of the massive influx of data from users or networks of connected objects. These tools will be developed using advanced algorithms including intelligent, inclusive interfaces that respect personal data.
The two organizations want to accelerate the development of disruptive digital solutions based on enhanced AI in the local government, health and industry sectors: structures concerned with optimizing the operation of their infrastructures. The framework contract signed by Inria and Berger-Levrault will enable the creation of a project team made up of experts from both establishments to continue the research work already begun.
A collaboration that has existed for four years and that will continue thanks to the signing of a framework contract
Thanks to four years of multiple collaborations, the two entities have been able to explore together the contribution of skills and advanced technologies to the design of innovative tools:
- On the one hand, Berger-Levrault is joining the twenty or so companies that are partners with Inria, including Atos and Safety Line. Thanks to this, the company hopes to greatly accelerate the implementation of its international development strategy, which is based on its innovation capabilities.
- On the other hand, Inria wishes to strengthen the French economic fabric through strategic bilateral agreements, as illustrated by its “Ambition Inria 2023” contract of objectives and performance.
For the research institute, this partnership strengthens the collaboration already initiated since 2018. The body of work already carried out jointly with Berger-Levrault is one of the reasons mentioned by Inria in order to move towards a more integrated mode of collaboration that would benefit both institutions.
