The Strategic Committee of the Electronics Industry (CSF) is preparing a new project of common European interest (PIIEC). The creation of this project, entitled “Electronics and Connectivity”, comes after the strategic role of the electronics industry as a whole was highlighted during the health crisis. The manufacturing of components, design and assembly services and distributors fall within the scope of electronics.
The strategic nature of the electronics industry was recognized in May 2018 by the National Industry Council chaired by former Prime Minister Edouard Philippe. The mission of the CSF électronique is to identify the key issues of the electronics industry and the reciprocal commitments of the State, the regions and the industrialists regarding this field.
Through the implementation of the PIEEC “Electronics and Connectivity”, the CSF wishes to continue its commitments to strengthen resilience and French sovereignty in order to master critical technologies. Two acceleration strategies, “electronics” and “artificial intelligence”, will be coupled with the project.
Within the framework of its missions, the electronics industry continues to ensure the mobilization of manufacturers around the challenges of securing critical supplies. In the medium term, the CSF électronique would like to develop a new generation of high-performance electronic components and equipment in conjunction with the automotive industry. It has also launched an attractiveness plan to develop employment in key sectors and is mobilising to project itself further internationally.
