On September 3, French company Atos announced that it had completed the acquisition of Visual BI. This American company is specialized in data analysis and business intelligence (BI) in the cloud. Already mentioned last July, this arrival allows to include new partnerships because the firm was already in connection with Snowflake Elite, Microsoft Gold Partner for Data & Analytics and SAP.

An acquisition to provide an adequate offer in business intelligence

Founded in 2010 by Gopal Krishnamurthy and based in Plano, Texas, Visual BI is an end-to-end BI & Analytics tool provider that offers consulting services, analytics solutions and training. The Atos company known for being one of the digital transformation players in Europe also provides integrated solutions across multiple industries.

The French company has announced the acquisition of Visual BI with a view to providing an offer in the field of business intelligence. Wim Los, SVP, Cloud Enterprise Solutions for Atos, said:

“Atos is dedicated to helping companies optimize their decision-making processes by enabling them to easily mobilize and leverage data from multiple sources in a secure manner. With the acquisition of Visual BI, we gain access to a broader set of analytical capabilities and tools that will help our customers address their most complex data-driven business challenges.”

180 Visual BI employees will join Atos to provide business intelligence expertise

With this acquisition, Atos seeks to strengthen its ability to meet the growing needs of businesses for BI and analytics in cloud environments, from centralizing data to providing high-value intelligence. The 180 employees of Visual BI will join Atos and the firm will benefit from all the partnerships Visual BI has signed in the past with Fishtown Analytics, Fivetran, Tableau, HVR Software, Qlik, Theobald Software, Alteryx, Snowflake Elite, Microsoft Gold Partner for Data & Analytics and SAP.

Christopher Holliday, Senior Vice President, Client Management at Visual BI said of his teams’ arrival at Atos:

This acquisition by Atos follows the acquisition of Maven Wave in 2020, which had the same goal: to reinforce the company’s strategic vision of putting data and the cloud at the center of organizations’ digital transformation.
